Fashion Denver :: INTRIGUE Spring Fashion Market

This is the second time I've been a part of Brandi's fashion market; an event that brings together a community of talented, beautiful and creative individuals.  It's been my pleasure to be involved with such an event and most importantly, to be around such inspiring people like Brandi.

It was also a pleasure to work with all the beautiful models as well as the talented Stevie, Tamara, Olivia, Stephanie and Katie, who helped make the fashion show portion fun, beautiful and a success.  Being around creative people makes me so happy.

The Spring Fashion Market was held at the grand Grant-Humphreys Mansion - a perfect location and setting to showcase designers and hold mini fashion shows.  If you missed this one, the Summer Fashion Market is just right around the corner.  I'll be sure to post the date and info once it's available.

Now on to the photos...

Tamara, you sassy little thing!

Smile Chris...

... there's that smile!

And another one by Stephen...

With the one and only - Miss Brandi.

A little fun and a little silliness to wrap up the day!

a golden year...

When it rains, it pours.  And that, it did for the last couple of months... but in a good way.

It seems like the universe decided to align its stars (while some may have collided) creating cosmic changes that all happened right around my birthday.  My golden birthday.  I just found out about this term not too long ago and apparently, it's supposed to be my lucky year.  And so far, this presumed significance seems to be right on point.  All these recent changes have lead me in a positive direction.

I managed to look for and pick an apartment, pack and move my belongings (which was no easy feat), unpack and settle in my new place back in the city - all in about a month.  At the same time, I had a couple side projects in the mix, which was in addition to a rather significant change at work as I transitioned from one position to another.  And while I don't consider this as a positive change,  I'm glad I was able to spend whatever time I had left with my brother before he was sent off to Afghanistan (with wishes of a safe and speedy return).  So many things were going on at the same time - mentally, physically and emotionally - I was struggling to keep up.  "I'm hyper-ventilating just thinking about what's on your plate," was what a friend told me.  Luckily, I didn't.

The culmination of these events led to a much anticipated birthday celebration with my best of friends.  And it was one of my best ones yet...

So two months later, I'm finally getting a chance to unwind in the comfort of my own place and playing a bit of catch up.  I've so many things to post... like the rest of my European adventure!  But one thing at a time.  If there's one lesson I've learned in the last year, it's patience.  Take everything in stride and to let things fall into place, organically, as it should be.  And above all, to be grateful for everything you're blessed with in life.

On that note, I'll end this post with photos from my birthday celebration and of the people who helped me celebrate a golden affair.

And it was official, I've had one too many drinks and was trying to bring Dena down with me...
